Natural & Organic Products Expo 2024
Over two days exclusively dedicated to thousands of wellness, food, beauty, ecological, and sustainability products, the 13 Greek businesses that participated, supported by the Region of Crete and the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, had the opportunity to showcase their traditional and innovative products to a wide audience of industry professionals and specialists as well as renowned retailers such as Waitrose, Holland & Barrett, Planet Organic, Marks & Spencer, Abel & Cole, ScoreApp, Soil Association, IFOAM Organics, and others!
The Expo returned once again to London on April 14-15 with high-profile panel discussions on timely topics such as Net Zero goals and the organic market.
Since 1997, for the 28th consecutive year, the Natural & Organic Products Expo has been the most significant business event of the year for professionals in the agri-food sector in Greece and worldwide.
The Expo is at the forefront of developments, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the natural, organic, and sustainable products sector.
This year, the Natural & Organic Products Expo hosted over 600 exhibitors from 74 countries, presenting approximately 10,000 natural and organic products, with visitor attendance exceeding 7,000.
Additionally, it served as a vital channel of communication between Greek businesses and international buyers and retailers, as well as a crucial platform for promoting Greek products in a rapidly growing market, such as that of the United Kingdom.
Throughout the two days, Greek booths were visited by over 500 food and beverage professionals, representing distributors, wholesalers, and major retailers. Therefore, Greek businesses had the opportunity to showcase not only their unique products originating from the fertile and high-nutrient Greek soil but also their brand identity.
Another significant addition – a Natural & Organic Products Expo milestone – was the “Meet the Buyer” initiative. Within the framework of this specific action, Greek businesses had the opportunity in 1-on-1 meetings to meet and discuss future professional collaborations with well-known chains such as Waitrose, Whole Foods, and Holland & Barrett.
Throughout the preparation for Greek participation in the Expo, as well as during the two-day event, RECO Exports provided personalized support to ensure the maximum visibility of the businesses and, for the most part, the creation of new professional contacts.
As consumer trends and needs continue to evolve, especially in today’s world where consumers constantly seek more sustainable options on supermarket shelves, Greek products are dynamically entering to prove their superiority compared to the competition, both in terms of quality and flavor as well as nutritional value.
However, competition is undoubtedly more intense than ever, as businesses internationally realize that entering the UK market will substantially contribute to their export activities. After all, the United Kingdom market has always been known for its constant search for new and innovative products.
In this environment, Greek businesses are called upon to overcome the challenges that have bound them so far, such as inadequate information about growth opportunities through their export activities, insufficient promotion and advertising of their products at international exhibitions of this kind, as well as their weak brand name resulting from limited marketing and advertising efforts in a globally renowned market such as the UK.
