Castilla-La Mancha is one of the most important wine-producing regions in Spain and the world. With
over 450.000 hectares of vineyards, it represents approximately half of Spain’s vineyard surface and is
the largest wine region in the world. Viticulture in Castilla-La Mancha has a long tradition, dating back
several centuries, characterized by a combination of traditional and modern techniques in producing
high-quality wines.

Mission Objectives
Promotion of Castilla-La Mancha Wines: To showcase the quality and variety of wines produced in
Castilla-La Mancha to UK importers and distributors.
Establishment of Commercial Relationships: To facilitate direct contact between Castilla-La Mancha
wineries and potential UK business partners to explore business and collaboration opportunities.
Education and Knowledge: To provide participants with in-depth knowledge about the viticultural
practices of the region, including production techniques, grape varieties, and distinctive characteristics
of local wines.
Increase in Exports: To increase the exports of Castilla-La Mancha wines to the UK, expanding the
presence of these wines in the international market.
Following the trip a number of wineries have begun negotiations for new exports into the UK
