Bites of Greece: Greek Product Presence at Partridges
Activities of the Bites of Greece initiative, organized by Reco Exports, commenced yesterday, Monday, May 31st. This initiative marks the first effort to promote and highlight Greek products in the United Kingdom during the post-Brexit era and following the recent reopening of the British market post-lockdowns. It aims to showcase Greece’s artisanal, organic, free-from, and vegan aspects, highlighting award-winning and innovative Greek agri-food products in the UK.
As of yesterday, a Bites of Greece shelf was established at Partridges, one of London’s most popular delicatessens known since 1975 for its distinctive and premium products. This shelf will remain there until June 27th.
The next milestone for the initiative will be a pop-up store in Islington, one of London’s wealthiest neighborhoods, renowned for its strong community and a prime destination for London foodies. Islington boasts numerous wine bars, bistros, restaurants, bars, theaters, and other entertainment options. The pop-up store will function as both a delicatessen and a showroom, offering tasting events alongside various activities, from June 16th to July 13th.
Lastly, from July 3rd to July 25th, a Bites of Greece stand will be set up at the famous Truman Brewery’s Upmarket on Brick Lane. For two decades, this venue has introduced new tastes and products from around the world to London’s discerning audience, attracting thousands of foodies every weekend.
Bites of Greece is organized by RECO Exports & Murphy London Communications, with the support of Enterprise Greece, the Greek Embassy in the UK, the Hellenic British Chamber of Commerce, as well as the regions of Attica, Central Macedonia, Central Greece, Epirus, and the Ionian Islands.
