Greek Food and Beverage Companies Meet UK Buyers at the UK Food & Drink Show
At this year’s UK Food & Drink Show 2023, held from April 24 to 26 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, Reco Exports is organizing a parallel B2B event. This event will take place in a specially arranged area of a hotel in the city, where British importers, distributors, and category buyers from major retailers will meet with the participating Greek businesses.
The event includes a special briefing on the UK food and drink market by industry professionals, as well as an on-site market research tour in Birmingham. This research will cover product pricing on shelves, competition analysis, consumer trends, and common promotional activities in retail.
As the exclusive representative of the exhibition for Greece and Cyprus, Reco Exports will provide all participating companies the opportunity to distribute their products to various retail points. This is facilitated by a special distributor license for the UK, ensuring that any contacts and demands arising during the exhibition can be immediately fulfilled post-event.
The UK Food & Drink Show is the largest and most significant trade fair for the food and beverage sector in the UK, featuring over 1,500 exhibitors and attracting 35,000 professional visitors. It is part of the William Reed group, a major publisher of respected trade publications such as The Grocer, Food Manufacture, and BigHospitality.
Comprehensive Coverage of Food and Beverage Sectors
The exhibition is divided into eight sections, each catering to specific sectors within the food and beverage industry: The Food & Drink Expo, Farm & Deli Show, National Convenience Show, FoodEX Manufacturing Solutions, Healthy & Natural, Low 2 No Bev, Dark Kitchens, and Ingredients. Each section allows businesses to focus their efforts on targeted buyers, optimizing time and resources.
The UK food and drink market is the most innovative in Europe, with a total consumption value exceeding £240 billion in 2021. It is recommended as a key target for the international expansion of Greek food and beverage companies. Additionally, the UK serves as one of the largest transshipment hubs in global trade, providing Greek products with access to all Commonwealth countries, including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Canada.
