London Wine Fair 2024 - Greek Wine Draws Unique Interest at This Year's Event
“The organization this year was exceptional, both in terms of the quality of attendees and the thematic sections throughout the three days. Masterclasses, conferences, awards. This year’s London Wine Fair was a one-stop-shop for every professional in the field, demonstrated by the attendance of nearly 10,000 British buyers, distributors, journalists, and wine experts.
Regarding the Greek pavilion, the two Free Wine Tasting & Wine Bar stations operated very efficiently, educating attendees about the varieties and participating wineries, while the informational booklet we designed served as a practical guide, aiding in understanding the wines tasted as well as the indigenous varieties. The presence of 1073 visitors over the three days is evidence of the unique momentum of interest in Greek wine among British importers.
From our side, aiming to meet the needs of both British stakeholders in selecting suitable wines and wineries for potential collaboration, and addressing the challenges faced by Greek wineries in understanding the functioning of the British market and meeting its demands, we established the newly-formed company Orpheus Wine.
Our goal is to support both parties and consequently achieve optimal penetration of Greek wine into the UK,” stated Antonis Sioulis, Managing Partner of RECO Exports. RECO Exports is the exclusive representative of the London Wine Fair in Greece and also organizes the Greek participation.
At this year’s London Wine Fair, over 9,000 industry professionals attended the three-day event, offering them the opportunity to discover new innovative trends and products, participate in tastings, and attend speeches, masterclasses, and presentations focusing on the new challenges of the wine industry.
