Central Greece Showcases Its Flavours and Local Products in Athens
The festival “Central Greece: Flavours from Our Land – Products from the Heart of Greece” was successfully held from 27 to 29 May 2026 at the Syntagma Metro Station Multipurpose Hall in Athens, welcoming thousands of visitors and showcasing the rich agri-food heritage of the Region of Central Greece.

The event was organised by the Region of Central Greece in collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce of Boeotia, Euboea, Evrytania, Phthiotis and Phocis, with the aim of promoting the region’s agri-food identity, enhancing the visibility of local products, and fostering meaningful connections between producers and consumers.
A Three-Day Journey into the Productive Wealth of Central Greece
A total of 21 companies representing all Regional Units of Central Greece participated in the festival, showcasing a diverse range of locally produced goods. Visitors had the opportunity to discover and sample figs, honey, herbs, dairy products, meat products, olives and olive oil, nuts, natural juices, spirits, and natural soaps, gaining a comprehensive insight into the quality, diversity, and authenticity that define Central Greece.
At the same time, the opportunity to purchase products directly from producers created a valuable link between businesses and consumers, strengthening the market presence of participating companies while highlighting the dynamic and modern character of the region’s primary sector.
A Contemporary Showcase of Products and Experiences
The festival’s overall architectural concept and visual identity were carefully designed to create a strong and recognisable presence for the Region of Central Greece in the heart of Athens.
A specially designed graphic installation at the entrance served as a focal point and popular photo opportunity for visitors, while the 21 participating businesses were hosted in customised exhibition stands featuring a unified visual identity and contemporary design. The festival’s layout created a welcoming and functional environment that encouraged interaction between exhibitors and visitors, enhancing the overall experience and reinforcing the event’s impact.

Gastronomy Takes Centre Stage
A key feature of the festival was the specially designed tasting bar, which also served as an information point for visitors throughout the event.
Over the course of the three-day festival, an experienced chef prepared and presented a variety of culinary creations using products from Central Greece, transforming local ingredients into contemporary gastronomic experiences that captivated visitors. In parallel, organised wine tastings featuring wines from wineries affiliated with ENOAKE showcased the quality, diversity, and growing reputation of the region’s wine sector.
The visitor experience was further enhanced by a large videowall displaying audiovisual content from the Region of Central Greece and the five Chambers of Commerce, highlighting the area’s natural landscapes, productive activities, and competitive advantages.
Strong Publicity and Wide Audience Reach
The success of the festival was supported by a comprehensive communications and publicity programme, which included the distribution of invitations and press releases to journalists, media representatives, institutional stakeholders, and industry professionals.
The response was highly positive, with the festival attracting a significant number of visitors and generating extensive media coverage. The event was featured by OPEN Beyond, while the strong interest it generated also led to coverage by MEGA and STAR Central Greece, further expanding the festival’s reach and visibility.
In addition, a dedicated informational brochure produced by the Region of Central Greece was designed and distributed to visitors. The publication provided detailed information about the participating businesses and their products, enabling visitors to remain connected with producers even after the event had concluded.
An Event with Lasting Impact
The festival “Central Greece: Flavours from Our Land – Products from the Heart of Greece” reaffirmed the Region’s position as one of Greece’s most important agri-food and gastronomic destinations. The participation of 21 businesses, the strong visitor turnout, the active contribution of the five Chambers of Commerce, and the extensive media exposure all contributed to the creation of an event with significant developmental and promotional impact.
