Asian Producers for the First Time at the London Wine Fair

This year’s London wine exhibition will host, for the first time, a dedicated area to Asia, featuring a wide range of Asian producers with products such as wine, spirits, sake, and much more. In this context, Japan will present its first general booth, with more than twelve producers, and beverage producers from China have also expressed interest.

Wines of South Africa

After a six-year absence, Wines of South Africa has also returned for the 2024 exhibition with a large Pop-Up tasting on Wednesday, May 21. The tasting will gather some of the best producers from South Africa and will highlight a wide range of wines, from well-known names like Spier, DGB, Waterkloof, and Springfield, along with smaller producers and those seeking representation. Teams for Cap Classique (South African sparkling wines made with the traditional method) and the Stellenbosch Cabernet Collective emphasize how important these two categories are for South Africa in the United Kingdom market.

The Market Director for the United Kingdom and Europe at Wines of South Africa stated, “Wines of South Africa is excited to host a pop-up tasting at this year’s London Wine Fair. Many of the producers presenting their wines have impressive sustainability credentials and inspiring stories to tell. There will be wines for every portfolio, from our Cap Classique, our Chenin, to Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage.”

The head of the London Wine Fair, Hannah Tovey, said, “Following the success of last year’s fair, where exhibitors increased by 30% compared to 2022 and visitors by 14%, we are extremely optimistic about 2024, which finds us on track to fill the positions.

We will announce our plans for new and exciting features and content for the London Wine Fair in the coming weeks to ensure that the 2024 edition will be the most relevant and unprecedented to date, covering everything from industry challenges, future trends, emerging categories, and fine wines.”
